Natural Skin Care & Makeup

I believe wholeheartedly in skin health! What we put on our skin is just as important to our overall health as what we put in our bodies and I’ve been working to find paraben-free and phthalate free skin care products I love for over ten years. Dealing with psoriasis and a love for the sun has made me even more conscious of the skin care products I use.

I also don’t want to break the bank or spend hours on my skin every day! I don’t get facials or peels so I want something that works easily from home. I want products that feel good, have a toxic-free ingredient list, are easy to use and are affordable.

You’ll find two videos explaining some of the products I use and my reviews of each. Links to learn more and purchase each product are listed below the videos. All products are cruelty free and free of parabens and toxins!

This list includes some of my favorite natural skin care products. All of these are under $20 and I love them all!

Enjoy!

All Natural Skin Care (all under $20)

ACURE Radically Rejuvenating Cleansing Cream, 4 Fl. Oz.

I like to use two different facial cleansers for more face and this is my morning favorite! Because I use oils on my face at night sometimes (see the list below), I find not all cleansers really clean in the morning. This is gentle while also doing a superb job of cleaning my face and getting me ready for the day.

ACURE Brightening Day Cream

Light and airy day cream. It works to protect against free radicals and feeds your cells with CoQ10 and argan oil.

ACURE Brightening Night Cream

Both of the brightening creams from ACURE work to even out skin tone and brighten our complexion.

ACURE Rosehips Oil (for face)

I have been a fan of rosehips oil for year and I swear by it for helping to control my psoriasis. I use it on my face about twice a week at night before bed.

Andalou Naturals Meyer Creamy Lemon Cleanser

So so yummy. It feels luxurious but is light and easy to use. I use it at night and it always gets my eye makeup off.

Andalou Naturals Daily Defense Lotion with SPF

Love this for the day, especially when you’ll be outside and need the SPF.

Andalou Naturals Night Repair Cream for Fine Lines and Wrinkles

Very light and moisturizing. I love using it with the Andalou Creamy Lemon Cleanser. Just like Acure, this uses CoQ10 to help prevent aging, fine lines and wrinkles.

Andalou Naturals BioActive Berry Enzyme Face Mask

I didn’t become a big mask fan until starting to use this a few months ago. Now I love it! I use it twice a week at night before my shower and I always have bright and healthy skin afterwards.

Andalou Naturals Pressed Facial Serum

I am in love with serums. I don’t usually use a lot of products other than cleanser and moisturizer, but serum is a must for me. This is a very nice entry level serum for someone wanting to try and add it to their routine. It’s gentle and super affordable. For my FAVORITE serum, see the Overnight Resurfacing Peel in the video and products below!

Thayers Alcohol-Free Rose Petal Witch Hazel Toner

One of the most loved toners on the market for a reason! It smells amazing and is gentle. Because it doesn’t have alcohol it won’t dry out your skin.

Eve Hansen Vitamin C Eye Gel

When I had kids using an eye gel became a non-negotiable. It helps tighten and brighten that delicate skin under your eyes.

Shea Butter

We are never without shea butter in our house. I am IN LOVE. I use it on my lips as a natural chapstick, on dry skin, on cuts and scrapes and on my face! It’s thick and wonderful. Watch the full video to see how I use it. This has also been a miracle worker on my psoriasis.

Organic Coconut Oil

The ultimate skin care product. If I had to pick one thing from this list to use, it would be coconut oil. It’s anti-bacterial and anti-fungal. It helps with psoriasis. It’s moisturizing. It’s the ultimate eye makeup remover. It’s the perfect diaper cream. It’s great for any chapped areas (like kiddos when they have a cold and get a chapped nose). It’s the best.
